Certification and Knowledge Benefits
If you have any kind of certification, it’s always going to be easier for you to get a job. It looks good in your resume. And it’s always good if we have some of these things for free. If you can go online and find these courses and get a certificate for it for free, it’s a good thing. Some of these though are not going to be free. Some of these you will have to pay if you want to get a certificate, but the knowledge is for free. What does that mean? You will get the knowledge for free. You can complete all of it and you’ll get the skills that that course has to give you. But the certificate, the paper is sometimes on some of these not going to be free. You will have to pay for it if you want to place it in your CV. But knowledge is always better.
Essential Free and Paid AI Courses
Step 1 Google AI for Anyone
The first one is called Google AI for anyone. You can Google for Google AI for anyone. And it’s this one on edx. So edx.org. Google AI for anyone. If you click on it, this is how it’s going to look like. This is in a collaboration with Google. And as it says, it’s a course for anyone to learn what AI is and how it works. And today where every company, every niche in today’s world will need AI, this is basically like it says it is for anyone. Love it or hate it, AI is here and it’s better for you to know something about it than to be scared of it and be on the sides. AI is the future. So accept it. As you can see, you can see the number of people who are already enrolled. All you got to do is to click on this button, advance your career, and this is what you’ll learn in this one.
Understanding AI Essentials and Teaching Machines
This is essentials. So what AI is, what isn’t, how all of this works together, why data is important, what are some of the applications of AI and no, you don’t have to be coding expert or some wizard, programming wizard in order to understand these things. This is for beginners. And what is the most important part for me here is that you will get to know the process of teaching a computer how to learn. Essentially AI is uninformed. Any one of these things it’s actually uninformed. You have to teach it what to use, what kind of data to use, what kind of model to use. So it can learn from you what do you want from it, the application for it. You will teach it what to do and it will learn what to do and later on you can use it. So in a nutshell it’s an uninformed thing. You have to teach it. But then after it has the data, after it has learned what do you want from it, it’s super smart and it’s super fast. That was the first one.
Step 2 Harvard CS50 Introduction with Artificial Intelligence
The second one is from Harvard. So Harvard, I got this CS50 sometimes in the past and it was about coding and there was a really nice professor there and you can find this one as well on edx and as you can see it’s going to take you 7 weeks to complete if you do it 10 to 30 hours per week. Of course you’re going to get a certificate for this one. You will have to pay. I think it’s like $199 if you want to get a certificate. But as I’ve told you, the knowledge is free. As you can see, more than 1 million people are enrolled already. So you can advance your career by clicking here. And in this one, you will learn a bit more complicated things such as graph search algorithms, knowledge representation, machine learning. For this one, you will need some more experience.
Step 3 IBM AI Foundations on Coursera
And this was the professor that I was telling you about this David J. Malon. It’s a good thing to listen to. See, he’s so natural in it. I mean, I would like this fella to teach the world in whichever niche. That was the second one. You can Google for it or you can go over to edX and search for Harvard X CS50’s introduction with artificial intelligence with Python. You will have to have certain knowledge about Python if you want to go with this one. The third one is on Coursera and this is from IBM. IBM is, you know what IBM is. It’s the first computer and of course they were the first ones during the 1950s I think where they started with AI way before OpenAI and all of those things. This one is for free and this one will give you a certificate for free and it’s foundations as you can see here beginner level no prior experience required and this one is going to take 1 month at 10 hours per week.
Professional Growth and Flexibility
This is a more flexible one and skills that you will gain are listed here. So machine learning, deep learning, cloud computing, this is basically foundation for anyone who needs certain AI skills for their jobs. And honestly, every company nowadays will need something related to AI. So you can make yourself indispensable if you’re already working for a company, if you learn AI, certain skills, or if you want to get a job somewhere and they require some AI. It’s always going to be better. Don’t be scared of it. It’s not here to replace us. And it’s not going to go away, that’s for sure. It can only help you. It’s a help. It’s a faster way of doing things.
Step 4 Nvidia Generative AI and Tutorials
The third one is on Nvidia. So Nvidia, they get the infrastructure for all these models all these AI but they have a lot of tutorials they have a lot of courses such as generative AI this is for content creators and this is something that I like I like content creating and I like the AI in it but of course apart from that there’s many more here I’ll show you this one if you explore learning path. By the way you can Google for it I’m not affiliating with any one of these. And with this one, you can learn as it says foundational. You will go on and explore what generative AI is. This is going to be for free. This is going to be for free. All of this is going to be for free if you want to complete it. But if you want to get a certificate, it’s going to be $90 for this one and $500 for this one. This is by the way too expensive in my opinion but you know take the knowledge out of it.
Step 5 Elements of AI by University of Helsinki
Then down there you’ve got more generative AI here. Some more here you can learn how to use stable diffusion. And if you learn the foundation for this one you can teach, I mean you will know how to use any other generative AI model in the future and the one that are already out there. One more is for the beginners. This is called elements of AI and the website is elements of ai.com and this is from Finland. This is the University of Helsinki if I’m not mistaken and they do have a lot of courses on AI and as you can see our goal is to demystify the AI and I think that a lot of people are mystifying AI and that’s why a lot of people are scared and this is a good mission. It doesn’t matter whether you have any experience with it or whether you have any belief with this. It’s a good way to start.
Demystifying AI and Practical Exercises
This is good for beginners because as you can see, you go from the introduction through building and then of course bringing that knowledge to your company, to your organization. So all you got to do with this one, choose a country, choose one of these courses, start with this one if you don’t have any prior experience. And here you can see what will you learn. What is AI? AI problem solving, real world AI, machine learning, neural networks and implications. And then if you go with building AI, it’s going to be different. Getting started, machine learning, dealing with uncertainty, neural networks, and conclusion. And it’s going to look like this. It’s like a blog. It reminds me of a blog. And down there you will have some questions, some exercises that you must complete after you sign up of course. This is how it’s going to look like. You have these questions. So is this AI or not for like the most simplest version of it and you can see something that you already know about.
Step 6 Google Cloud Introduction to Generative AI
So whether this is AI, a music recommendation system such as Spotify that suggests music based on the user’s listening behavior. This is going to be AI. And then of course you will get the answers whether they were correct or not. As you can see I’m very bad. The last one is for free and it’s from Google Cloud as well. It’s plain introduction to generative AI and you’ve got videos, documents and then of course you will have a test and this one is really fast to complete. This is like 45 minutes. This is where maybe everyone should start if they want to learn themselves and teach themselves something about generative AI.
Monetizing AI through Content Creation
Now, all of these are going to help you make money. But in my opinion, it’s always good if you want to make something for yourself, it’s good to make content about it. If you start yourself an Instagram theme page or Tik Tok channel or YouTube channel, start with some shorts. And because this is in such a demand and it’s a hot topic a lot of people consume that kind of content. So if you are into any kind of content creation go and create content about what you learn.
