Hello everyone, Adnan here from TechByAdnan!
There’s a special kind of magic in pressing the power button on a machine you built with your own two hands. For gamers and creators in Pakistan, building a custom PC is the ultimate dream – a gaming rig perfectly tailored to your favourite games and your budget. The blinking RGB lights, the hum of the fans… it’s a thing of beauty.
But let’s be real, where do you even start? The market can be incredibly confusing, with prices that change every week and an endless list of parts to choose from.
I’ve been there. I built my first PC right here in Lahore over a decade ago, with parts I haggled for in the busy, chaotic lanes of Hafeez Centre. Since then, I’ve built dozens of PCs for myself and for friends, from budget builds that could just about run Valorant to high-end monsters that can handle anything you throw at them.
This guide is the sum of all my experience – my successes, my mistakes, and my hard-won knowledge of the Pakistani PC market. I’m here to walk you through every single step, from choosing your parts to finding the best deals here in July 2025.
Why Build a PC in Pakistan? (Is it Cheaper?)
This is the first question everyone asks. With the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X available, why go through the trouble?
For me, it comes down to three things: Customization, Value, and Experience. You get to choose every single part, which means you’re not paying for things you don’t need.
But is it actually cheaper? My honest answer: Yes, if you’re smart about it. In Pakistan, the market for used parts, especially graphics cards, is huge. You can strategically buy a good-quality used GPU and get way more performance for your rupee than any console or pre-built PC can offer.
Understanding the Core Components (PC Parts 101 for Pakistanis)
Walking into a computer shop can feel like learning a new language. Let’s break down the jargon into simple terms.

- The Brain (CPU – Central Processing Unit): This is the engine of your PC. It handles all the instructions. The big debate is always Intel vs. AMD. Right now, for most gamers in Pakistan, an AMD Ryzen 5 or an Intel Core i5 offers the absolute best price-to-performance.
- The Powerhouse (GPU – Graphics Processing Unit): This is the single most important part for gaming. It renders all the beautiful images you see on screen. This is also where you can save the most money by looking at the used market, but we’ll talk more about that later.
- Memory (RAM – Random Access Memory): Think of this as your PC’s short-term memory, or how many things it can think about at once. For gaming in 2025, 16GB is the sweet spot. Don’t let anyone tell you that you need 32GB unless you’re also doing heavy video editing.
- Storage (SSD/HDD): This is your PC’s digital closet where you store your games, files, and Windows itself. My #1 rule for you: You MUST get an SSD (Solid State Drive) for your main drive. It makes your PC feel incredibly fast. You can always add a cheaper, larger HDD (Hard Disk Drive) later for more game storage.
- The Motherboard: This is the body that connects everything. You don’t need the most expensive one, just one that is compatible with your CPU.
- The Power Supply (PSU): This is the heart that pumps power to all your components. Please do not cheap out on this part! A bad power supply can damage your entire PC.
- The Casing: This is the home for all your precious components. Pick one you like the look of that has good airflow.
The 2025 Pakistan PC Build Blueprints (Sample Builds)
Here are three sample builds for different budgets. This is the real core of the guide, giving you a clear shopping list.
Disclaimer: Prices in the Pakistani market change very quickly! These are estimates for July 2025. Use them as a starting point.

Where to Buy PC Parts in Pakistan: Hafeez Centre vs. Online
This is where your journey really begins. You have two main options:
1. The Physical Market Experience (Hafeez Centre, Naz Plaza, etc.)
Walking into Hafeez Centre in Lahore is an experience. It’s loud, chaotic, and exciting. You can see the parts, touch them, and get everything you need in one go.
- Pros: You can sometimes haggle for a better price, find unique deals on used parts, and you get your components instantly.
- Cons & My Advice: You need to know your prices, or you can get ripped off. My advice is to always check prices online first on Pakistani PC community sites before you go. Stick to the bigger, more reputable shops on the ground or first floor. Don’t be afraid to walk away if a deal feels wrong.

2. The Online Store Experience (Czone, Eezepc, etc.)
For new parts with proper warranties, I often prefer trusted online stores. It’s less hassle, and the prices are usually fixed and fair.
- Pros: Official warranties are honoured, it’s easy to compare prices, and they deliver right to your doorstep anywhere in Pakistan.
- Cons: You can’t inspect the part before you buy it, and you have to wait for delivery.
3. The Used Parts Market (OLX, Facebook Groups)

My Warning: This is for experienced builders only. While you can find amazing deals here, there is zero warranty and a high risk of scams or faulty parts. My rule is simple: Always test a used part, especially a GPU, in person before you pay a single rupee. Ask the seller to run a benchmark test for you.

The Building Process: A Quick Overview
Building the PC can seem scary, but I promise you, it’s like putting together adult LEGOs. I won’t do a full step-by-step assembly guide here, as video guides are much better for that.

My #1 Tip for First-Timers: Build it outside the case first! Assemble the CPU, RAM, and GPU on the motherboard, place it on top of the motherboard box, connect the power supply, and make sure it turns on and shows something on the screen. This is called POSTing. It saves you a massive headache later if one part is faulty.
For the actual assembly, I highly recommend watching a detailed build guide on YouTube from a trusted channel like Linus Tech Tips or Gamers Nexus while you build. Pause the video at every step. This is exactly how I learned.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is it really cheaper to build a PC in Pakistan than to buy a pre-built one?
Yes, usually. You get better quality parts for your money, especially if you strategically buy a used graphics card to maximize your budget.
What is the single most important part to spend money on for a gaming PC?
The Graphics Card (GPU). It will have the biggest impact on your gaming performance and how good your games look.
Is it safe to buy used parts like a graphics card from OLX or Hafeez Centre?
It’s risky but can offer great value. For a used graphics card, always ask the seller to run a stress test for you in person before you pay any money.
For a beginner, is it better to buy from Hafeez Centre or a trusted online store?
For new parts with official warranties, a trusted online store like Czone or Eezepc is often safer and easier. Go to Hafeez Centre when you know your prices and are ready to haggle.
Can I really build a good gaming PC for under 100,000 PKR?
Yes. A budget build under 1 lakh is perfect for playing popular e-sports games like Valorant, CS:GO, and Fortnite at high frame rates, especially when paired with a good-value used GPU.
I’ve never built a PC before. How hard is it to assemble?
It’s like building with adult LEGOs. If you take your time and follow a step-by-step video guide on YouTube, a first-time builder can usually finish it in an afternoon.
Conclusion: Welcome to the PC Master Race!
Building a PC in Pakistan is a rewarding journey. It takes some research and patience, but with smart planning and the right knowledge, you can build a machine that offers incredible value and performance that you can be proud of.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions in online Pakistani PC communities and take your time. The feeling of playing your favourite game on a PC you built yourself is absolutely unbeatable.
Good luck, and happy building!
